Bihar floods have led to the inundation of several hundred villages, marooning of thousands of hapless poor farmers and their families, killing of lakhs of cattle and causing an unimaginable collateral damage. The aftermath is even more frightening, as the epidemics, starvation and coming winter are expected to claim more human lives than the floods.
