FOUNDATION

After the centuries of darkness, Arya Samaj was constituted by Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati to initiate the war against the misconceptions grown among the Aryan Race about their religion and to revitalise the Vedic Concepts. This Light of Truth enlightened and strengthened Aryan Race all over the world, to stand rock-hard in front of these threats.

But some irrational people who were jealous & afraid of this rise of Arya Samaj, started making planning to halt this great movement. After Swami Dayanand Saraswati, they started a drive to kill the major Arya Samaj Leaders. Pandit Lekhram and Swami Shradhanand were brutally murdered. Arya Samaj Workers and Arya Samaj properties were also being attacked.

After the assassination of Swami Shradhanand on 23 December 1926, first Arya Mahasammelan was organised in 1927, under the chairmanship of Mahatma Hansraj. It was decided unanimously, in the Mahasammelan, that to constitute a special dedicated force in order to provide protection cover to the Arya Samaj Properties, Functions and Leaders. Henceforth, Arya Raksha Samiti was formed having Mahatma Narayan Swami as its President. The ARS was given a target to collect funds of Rs.10000 and select 10000 dedicated youth from all over the nation.

However, Aryans arranged 12000 youths & the requisite money, much before the deadline. Arya Raksha Samiti named the group of selected youth as Arya Veer Dal. Later on, on 26 January 1929 Sarvadeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha duly constituted Arya Veer Dal by passing its constitution. Sh. Shivchandra Ji was appointed as its first Sanchalak (President).

In the mean time, Mahashay Rajpal was also assassinated in Lahore. Under these new circumstances Mahatma Narayan Swami issued orders to constitute an Arya Veer Dal Shakha (Unit) in each & every Arya Samaj premises.

As a result of proper security support, the attacks on Arya Leaders get halted. The Arya Samaj Functions were being organised, un-interruptedly. Seeing the effectiveness of Arya Veer Dal, Sarvadeshik Arya Pratinidhi Sabha duly announced Arya Veer Dal as its Youth Wing in 1936. And the highly courageous Sh. Om Prakash Tyagi was appointed as its Pradhan Sanchalak (President) in 1940.

HISTORY

 Power Show

Under the enthusiastic leadership of Sh. Om Prakash Tyagi, Arya Veer Dal grown up radically in all over the nation. The first Camp of 400 selected Arya Veers was organised in 1942, at Badarpur, New Delhi. At the same time the whole nation was gearing up for the final battle of Swarjya. Arya Veers also took part in Karo ya Maro movement, actively.

But unfortunately, before Independence Hindus were going to bear its costs, heavily. In the frontier States of proposed Pakistan, Hindus were being massacred brutally. Under the instructions of Sohravardi the insurgents were killing Hindus in Nau-Aakhali of East Bengal. Sarvadeshik Sabha ordered Arya Veer Dal to send 200 Die-Hard youths to Bengal. Arya Veer Dal, Alwar (Rajasthan) was ordered to accomplish the task. They lined up 1000 Arya Veers, from which 200 were to be selected. Each AryaVeer was more than eager to offer himself. At last, the group of selected 200 AryaVeers left for Bengal, under the leadership of Sh. OmPrakash Tyagi.

Before doing anything else, Arya Veers banged a bomb after reaching Nau-Aakhali. The Camp of Congress was situated nearby. Smt. Sucheta Kriplani and other Congressmen started singing the false-song of Non-Violence and abusing Arya Veer Dal workers. One day Muslim insurgents attacked Congress Camp. They caught up Smt. Sucheta by here hair and pulled her to their area. After getting the information, Armed Arya Veers attacked on them as thunderbolt and save her. She could only yell out, "Oh brother, came to save me".

The Camp of Arya Veer Dal was situated just 100 meters away from India-Pakistan Border. Arya Veers faced many times the Ansar Infiltrants from Pakistan to save Indian Borders. In such an incident that happened in Jay-Nagar, Ansar Infiltrants crossed the border and tried to hoist Pakistani Flag on the Indian Post. Only 4 Indian Policemen including 1 injured were left in Post. Arya Veers courageously encountered the Ansars and at last Ansars left the field. That Pakistani Flag is still lying in Arya Veer Dal Head-Quarters, commemorating the matchless bravery of Arya Veers.

The Hyderabad Mukti Sangram was initiated by Arya Veers. 3 AryaVeers planned to bomb the car of Nizam. But unfortunately the bomb did not blast. One of them, Narayan Rao was arrested and tortured till death. But he did not spoke a word. The Bank of Nizam was situated in Umari Town. After duly planning, Arya Veers looted Rupees 30 Lakh from the Bank and gave it to Sardar Patel. Bhai Shyam Lal (Udgeer), Kashiram (Beed), VedPrakash (Humanabad), Krishanrai Intekar and several other Arya Veers sacrificed their lives for the Release Operation of Hyderabad. The whole task at the time of Police Action, was beared by Arya Veers. Sardar Patel marked this contribution as, " If there was no assistance from Arya Samaj, it was almost impossible to win Hyderabad".

Relief Operations

During 1936, the Central India was vastly affected by a major Drought. Sarvadeshik Sabha opened various Relief Camps in Ratlam, Ujjain, Jhabua, Gohad and MeghNagar under the supervision of Arya Veer Dal. This operation lasted for 50 days.

During 1942-43 more than 45 Lakh people died in Bengal due to Biggest Drought in Indian History. Under the joint venture of Sarvadeshik Sabha and Punjab Sabha, AryaVeers were sent there for relief operation with Sh. Khushhal Chand (Anand Swami) as their leader. AryaVeers distributed Food, Medicines and Clothes to lakhs of victims. Likewise, AryaVeers also operated their Relief Camps at the time of Partition of India. After independence, since 1950 AryaVeers again geared up to serve the nation during Floods in Assam, Kekari (Rajasthan) and Morvi (Gujarat).

Community Service

Arya Veer Dal has fulfilled its responsibilities, all the times. AryaVeers have given their un-valued services at several Functions, including Security, Medical Service, Food and Management.

In 1952, the Guard of Honor was offered to Sh. Tribhuwan Veer Vikram Shah Dev (King of Nepal) at Semara Air Field, under the command of Sh. Ramagya Vairagi (Commander in Cheif of Arya Veer Dal). The total security of said event was also under his supervision.

The Rishi Birth Centenary Celebrations, Mathura was held under the total supervision of Arya Veer Dal. The elder Aryajans are still having its pleasant memories. Not a single mis-happening occurred, even though there was no governmental support. Likewise AryaVeers rendered their organised services for Arya Samaj Foundation Centenary (1975) in Delhi and Rishi Nirvanotsav Centenary (1983) in Ajmer.

Since foundation, Arya Veer Dal is working aggressively in order to achieve its basic objectives. The incidents mentioned above is only the brief description of the uphill struggle of our predecessors given here to motivate our successors.

We salute with heart to them, who sacrificed their Present for our Future.

MISSION

To attain the prime objective of 'Krinvanto Vishwamaryam', keeping the goal of world peace and bliss in mind, generation of hard workmanship and character of the general public, specifically youth, according to Vedic Dharma, Vedic Culture and Vedic Civilisation.

Necessity

This question is just similar to asking a mother, "why does she need a son?"

Every Organisation (Religious or Political) constitutes its own Youth Wing, to get the useful Working Force to manage the work of main Organisation, in coming future. It is unfortunate to see that the Arya Samaj, which is already having thousands of Schools & Colleges, is suffering from huge deficiency of dedicated workers to work for Maharishi Dayanand.

Due to lack of efficient workers in Arya Samaj, several people having immoral intentions are getting entrance and posts in Arya Samaj's Organisation under duly planned manner. These people have already started working on Non-Vedic agenda, which is strictly against the conceptions of Maharishi Dayanand.

Arya Veer Dal is the factory where the virtuous, cultured, powerful and disciplined youth are manufactured. The future of Arya Samaj is dependent on these specially designed youth.

Aim

Literally, Arya Veer Dal has 3 basic Aims :

Our culture is based on Vedas, hence it is also called Vedic Culture. Vedic Culture is the foremost and oldest on the Earth. Maryada Purushottam Shri Ram and Yogeshwar Shri Krishna were the followers of this Culture. According to Vedic Culture, the aim of Human Life is to attain Dharma, Arth, Kaam & Moksha. Adoption of the Symbols of Vedic Culture viz. Shikha, Sutra, Purusharth & Varnashram Arrangement based on Guna-Karma-Swabhav is the necessary for each and every Arya Veer.

Shakti (Power)

Power Building implies the physical development. A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Pehla Sukh Nirogi Kaya. Keeping a weaker physique is the biggest sin of life. It is essential to strengthen the basic pillars of Food, Sleep and Bhramcharya to keep the body well. The regular workout provides strength to all of those. After getting the body healthy and strong, every man and woman should essentially take the proper training of the available means of Self-Defence. This training helps tremendously in saving themselves alongwith others, at the time of any mishap.

Accordingly, the Unity is Strength. Doing any work in an organised manner, ensures its success. Arya Veer Dal is a well-structured Organisation right from root level, working under one Command.
